As a pet sitter you may stay in the home of their owner or in your own space.
The most popular animals to take care of are:
- dogs
- cats
- birds
- rabbits
- hamsters
- fish
Some of your most basic responsibilities are:
- feeding
- cleaning out litter boxes/aquariums etc.
- bathing and grooming as needed
- playing
Depending on the client, you may have to frequently update your job of taking care of their animal. This may include live calls or sending them photos of their beloved pet.
In some cases you may have more responsibilities, such as monitoring the health of an animal and giving medication or exercise their animal (especially dogs).
