Job description
As a housesitter you're expected to take care of the house and the owner's pets. Your basic responsibility is to watch over the house and monitor surveillance. This might mean to turn on and off the lights from time to time, in order to show that the house is occupied.
Other responsibilities include:
- cleaning the house, such as sweeping the floors and skimming leaves off the pool
- watering the plants
- collecting the mail
- answering the telephone
- pet sitting, which includes feeding, cleaning and playing with pets
